We have committed to the principles of reduce, reuse, recycle
Reduce
- Only print essential items
- We used to spend a lot of time sticking price labels onto products in our shop. We have now set the whole shop up with price labels on the shelves. No more sticky labels! This is a big time and money saver.
- All payslips are now sent to staff electronically
- All lab reports now come in by email
- We utilise E biz ordering options wherever possible with our suppliers
Reuse
- Reuse paper that has been printed on only one side by stapling into paper pads and reusing it through our printer for paper printed for internal use
- Refill our printer cartridges
Recycle
- Recycle our toner cartridges
- Recycle all appropriate waste paper and cardboard boxes
- Shred documents with private information and compost
- Recycle other recyclable material such as recyclable plastics, tins, aluminium cans, glass
- Ask our clients to bring back their plastic pill bottles so we can reuse them
- We use a bokashi bin in our staff room so that food waste is "recycled" through compost
Closing the loop
All that recycled stuff has to eventually get used, so we
- Use recycled paper in our printers
- Our appointment cards are made of recycled paper
- Our invoices are printed on recycled paper and go out to clients in envelopes made of recycled paper
- Use Corporate Expresses EXP range for lot of other stationary
