In March 2009 we joined the CODE RED carbon reduction rewards scheme and were lucky enough to win a spot prize of a carbon emmissions assessment through the Cawthron Institute in Nelson. This will allow us to measure our clinic's carbon emmissions prior to looking at ways to reduce them. We think this is going to be a great learning exercise for ourselves and we are keen to pass on our newfound knowledge to other businesses, especially other veterinary businesses.
