As pets age their health needs change. A regular senior pet health check is a good idea to detect early signs of disease.
A basic senior pet check involves an in depth discussion of your pet's recent history and a thorough nose to tail examination. Some of the things we are particularly looknig for include:
- any change in appetite or drinking habits
- any lumps or bumps
- any stiffness or trouble jumping up
- any dental disease
Following the history and physical examination we may reccommend follow up tests such as blood tests to check internal organ function, xrays or cytological examination of samples from lumps.
