We have a winner!
Over the months of June and July we ran a promotion on heart disease in dogs. Clients had to answer a few questions about diagnosing heart disease. Our lucky winner was young Esme Martin, pictured here with her Rottie, Bomber!

Clinic renovations
Trelise, Maureen and Ren have been hard at work over the last week revamping the fish area. Following some flooding recently the front of the building has been slightly water damaged with the plinth that the fish tanks sit on being the worst affected. This has now been removed and the builders will be back this week to finish the repairs.
We look foward to them finishing and the arrival of a whole lot of new fish in the coming weeks!

The clinic is turning into a bird sanctuary!
The last few weeks have heralded the arrival of a few birds! The Motueka clinic is now holding 2 Cockatiels and 1 Indian Ringneck. We thought it unwise to send them off to the local SPCA as they are full up with cats!
If you own these birds or know of someone who has recently lost one please contact us on 528 8459. In the meantime they are keeping us entertained with their antics.

Welcome to our new vet, Matt Evans!
Matt and Paula went through vet school at Massey together some 11 years ago. Recently returned from 8 years in mixed practice on the Island of Guernsey, Matt brings a wealth of experience to the practice. As well as plenty of experience with dairy farms and smallholdings over in Guernsey, he also has plenty of small animal experience. He is especially interested in Animal Behaviour, Cardiology and Orthopedic Surgery.

Volunteer Trip to Niue
Paula is back from Niue after a busy (and hot) week desexing cats and dogs for the charity South Pacific Animal Welfare. Veterinarians Paula and Alex, and nurses, Jedda, Lynette and Amy, desexed over 60 patients during their week on the island as well as visiting local piggeries and school children.
A gallery of further photos is coming soon ......
