I graduated from Bristol University in 2010. I’ve wanted to come to New Zealand for a long time so thought I’d start my first job over here. After a short period of travelling around New Zealand I knew the Tasman area is where I most wanted to live, for the great outdoors and the lovely people who I’ve met here.
I’ve always wanted to work in mixed practice as I enjoy working with all species and I particularly enjoy farm animal work. I completed my elective studies in this area, working on fertility visits, herd health, disbudding, lameness, castrations and calvings. I have spent a lot of time seeing practice in the large dairy farming areas of the UK, the South West and Pembrokeshire, where I grew up.
In my spare time I enjoy being outdoors; mountain biking, road cycling, tramping, climbing, horse riding and surfing. Here in South Island I’m spoilt for choice for things to do and the weather is a lot better than what I’m used to at home!
