Head Veterinary Nurse
I started working at Tasman Bay vets in 2004. I enjoy spending my whole day in an environment with animals assisting in surgeries or just simply taking care of those forgotten, abandoned animals and giving them the love and care they need to better re-house them into loving homes.
I have particular interest in the area of Anaesthesia, IV placement, blood taking and dental work. Being extremely passionate about ensuring the best possible care for all our patients.
When I’m not popping in and out of the clinic to tend to hospitalized pets, I spend quality time with my Son, Cougar and with Cherry my Black Labrador swimming at the river and running about at the beach.
I have a small collection of “rescued” pets that now call our place home. They are Cherry, my Black Lab, Patch BullyX and 3 cats; Ninja, Phoebe and Missy.
I have always been an animal person having been a Dog Groomer and living and working at Boarding Kennels/Catteries in Christchurch. I am a single mum and wanted my son to have a good role model and be proud with my career choice. I wanted him to know that you can have a job you enjoy if you do what you love and that is what led me to my qualifications and my work at Tasman Bay Vets.
