I have been at Tasman Bay Vets for a few years now, working as a cleaner which has progressed to reception on Saturdays and as support. Through this I have discovered what I really want to be doing; working and caring for animals and helping people with their pets. Especially after seeing the staff here responding quickly to emergencies, monitoring surgeries, post operative care and caring for hospitalised and SPCA animals. I now completed a National Certificate in Animal Care in 2010 at Nelson Polytechnic and I am currently studying my Certificate in Vet Nursing by correspondence through Otago Polytech.
Through working at the vet clinic I have adopted my animal family of Hollie cat, Izzy our 3 legged Huntaway/collie X. Pipi and Princess – pigeons and goldfish as well. They join me and my daughter Sienna in our home on an orchard. In my spare time I love to take Izzy to the beach and paint when I can. I like to paint animal portraits (of course) and have a go at the window displays at work.
Cath is responsible for some of the fantastic window displays we have had recently
