Helen has worked at Tasman Bay Vets forever! She started at the practice by chance of fate and having always been an animal lover it suited her down to the ground. As she says, what better way to spend your time than helping animals. She also enjoys helping people, the many challenges that come her way and the busy clinic atmosphere. And Helen is kept busy! She not only keeps the Mapua clinic running smoothly, handling everything from the reception work, ordering stock and helping the vets, but also does the finances and accounts for both clinics.
Helen is a keen horsewoman being involved in riding, training and breeding. Her five horses Bert, Junior, Billy, Bree and Blue keep her very busy but she still finds time for her lovable feline Mr Bear, a slightly rotund charcoal grey domestic short hair and Scully the newest addition who is a collie/huntaway X. When not at the clinic or horse riding Helen also enjoys gardening, clowning around and spending time with friends.
